Outcome Based Engagement

We don't hold seminars. We don't host speaking events or conferences. And we don't put the responsibility of operationalizing our insight on you.

We focus exclusively on hands-on 1:1 outcome based buyer representation for a small number of individuals or partnerships looking to embark on the path to independent practice ownership through acquisition.

Phase Based Focus

We think about acquisitions in three distinct phases - each with their own goals and milestones.

Phase no. 01 - Search
Phase no. 02 - Acquisition
Phase no. 03 - Year One

Each phase is different, each requires unique consideration, and together they build a sound foundation for a successful career as a practice owner. While some other consulting programs focus on just pre or post acquisition phases, we believe the secret to our success is the continuity that comes from considering them as separate but connected parts of a balanced and wholistic approach to ownership.

Phase no. 01
Search

The program begins with a guided search (up to 12 months) which focuses on defining the ideal practice, finding that practice, and preparing for ownership.

Specifically, we'll cover:

- Relocation plan (if applicable)
- Organizing personal finances and establishing premium

creditworthiness in preparation for bank financing
- Securing all needed insurances
- Assembling the professional team that will carry us through acquisition and ownership (lawyer, accountant, insurance agent etc.)
- Comprehensive market evaluation
- Building broker relationships and securing NDA(s) required for diligence
- Finalizing LOI(s)

Phase no. 02
Acquisition

Once we find the ideal practice to purchase, we shift into acquisition mode.

In this portion of the program, we'll be:

- Securing financing offers and comparing options

- Establishing your business entity(s)
- Negotiating sale terms (price, timeline, work-back period, non-compete, assets to be sold, etc.)
- Building the transition plan (patient/staff introductions, infrastructure decisions, technological improvements, vendor relationships, etc.)
- Designing your branding and marketing.

- Finalizing insurance credentialing

- Reviewing operational flows and processes
- Preparing employment documentation, infrastructure, and benefits

Phase no. 03
Year One

Your practice loan has funded, the sale has closed, and you are now an owner!

In the Year One phase, we'll check in as often as needed (typically bi-weekly) to make sure:

- Day-to-day operations are running smoothly
- Patients and staff are happy and stabilized
- Revenue and collections are realized and secured
- Insurance payments are processing properly
- Any changes are introduced gradually and gracefully (less is more early on but there are often improvements to offer patients and staff both)
- We have a plan for ongoing improvement and growth within the practice (platforms, technology, operational processes, staffing, hr benefits)
